Magnifique manuscrit arabe correspondant au Dala'il al-Khayrat, uvre due à Mohammed al-Jazouli (1404-1465), érudit maroquin du peuple chleuh, soufi fondateur de la confrérie al-Jazuliyyatt et l'un des sept saints de Marrakech. uvre majeure de ce dernier, le Dala'il al-Khayrat est un célèbre recueil de prières pour le prophète Muhammad. Il est particulièrement populaire dans certaines parties du monde islamique parmi les musulmans traditionnels, notamment en Afrique du Nord, au Levant, en Turquie, dans le Caucase et en Asie du Sud. Il est généralement divisé en 7 sections pour la récitation quotidienne. Le présent ouvrage est rédigé en naskhh noir de neuf lignes encadré par un épais ruban doré et plusieurs filets polychromes, rosettes de séparation dorées, frontispice richement enluminé avec texte en réserve sur nuages dor, plusieurs sarlowhs, deux feuillets en fin douvrage présentant des peintures en pleine page de La Mecque et Médine. Magnificent Arabic manuscript corresponding to the Dala'il al-Khayrat, a work due to Mohammed al-Jazouli (1404-1465), a maroon scholar of the Shleuh people, Sufi founder of the al-Jazuliyyatt brotherhood and one of the seven saints of Marrakech. His major work, the Dala'il al-Khayrat is a famous collection of prayers for the Prophet Muhammad. It is particularly popular in some parts of the Islamic world among traditional Muslims, including North Africa, the Levant, Turkey, the Caucasus and South Asia. It is usually divided into 7 sections for daily recitation. The present work is written in black naskhh of nine lines framed by a thick golden ribbon and several polychrome fillets, golden separating rosettes, richly illuminated frontispiece with text in reserve on golden clouds, several sarlowhs, two leaves at the end of the work presenting full-page paintings of Mecca and Medina. An impressive, well-preserved, richly decorated and illustrated manuscript.
